Xero High Cool - Student Elements
Xero Like They Teach in High School
See NOTE at foot of the text below.
INTRODUCTION
Some people think High School is cool. Some not so. Xero – the beautiful accounting software – is cool. This course will prove it.
So what does the course contain? Well, there’s a comprehensive package to ensure the student learns exactly what a High School student would be taught, all using the same Demo Company in Xero that they would use. It includes:
- A Student Manual, which includes instructions for how to use Xero software for the questions included in the course. It also includes:
- An Introduction Exercise – called Kayaks. This is an in-depth exercise, and includes the following content:
- Files the Student will need to use, and
- Answers for the Teacher to compare the Student’s Output to,
- A Bonus Exercise – called Homecare, which is a cash-based business. This has the same content types as mentioned above;
- An Introduction Exercise – called Kayaks. This is an in-depth exercise, and includes the following content:
- Exercise 1 – called Boots. This has the same content types as Kayaks;
- Exercise 2 – called Backpacks. This has the same content types as Kayaks too;
- Exercise 3 – called Cycles. This has the same content types as Kayaks also;
- Exercise 4 – called Blue Surf. This also has the same content types as Kayaks;
- A Student Assessment set, which includes:
- The Test,
- Files needed by the student to complete the test,
- A marking guide for the Teacher, and
- Answers for the Teacher to compare the Student’s Output to.
It should be noted that Exercise 1 onwards are not as in-depth as the Introduction Exercise, as they are building on the knowledge gained from the Introduction Exercise.
Each Exercise has it’s own ‘course’ in Xero, so that the student is starting with a blank slate (in the Blank Company) each time. After purchase, emails will be sent from Xero Learn inviting the student into each of these ‘courses’.
TEACHER NOTE
To help you with planning time to allocate to the course, we offer the following guidance:
- The Introduction Exercise – Kayaks – takes between 3 and 6 hours, depending on the student, and may well need more supervision than the remainder of the course,
- The other four Exercises take somewhere between 2 and 3 hours each,
- The Assessment, depending on the student, takes up to 2 hours.
PLEASE NOTE this is the Student Elements version of the Xero High Cool course. As such the Answers are not included.
